Kohli and Dhoni rested against Bangladesh
India’s longest two-month tour ends in South Africa In this long tour, the whole team is nervous. For this reason, the Indian Cricket Board has decided to keep five of the top five players, including regular captain Virat Kohli and former captain-wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, to rest in the upcoming Nidhaus Trophy. The Indian team announced in the trophy starting in Sri Lanka on 6 March.
India has rested captain Virat Kohli, wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, paceman Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and all-rounder Hardi Pandey in this tour.
Regarding the rest of the players playing in regular elevens, the rest will be played in Sri Lanka with the second-string team, which will be led by Rohit Sharma. Sri Lanka and India will face the opening match of the March 6 series. The Indian cricket board announced the 15-member squad ahead of this series.
